Mr. Harris is the perfect example of our Teacher of the Year. His dedication to Reynolds and his students is exemplary.

Compassion and generosity are but two words to describe him. He is one of the first teachers to arrive and one of the last teachers to leave. He gives freely of his time for both school and students, and is always willing to lend a colleague a hand, offer sound advice if asked for, and is the first to speak on his students' behalf. He is the Math Department Head and a member of the School Improvement Team, consistently offering sensible and practical solutions.

Mr. Harris has shown a steadfast commitment to helping students learn throughout the pandemic. During zoom class and remote learning last year Mr. Harris maintained a strong curriculum in his AP Statistics class, his students reporting that they were engaged and continued to learn despite the challenges.

When tasked with developing a plan for student learning loss after in-peron classes resmed, Mr.Harris helped the Math department develop a tutoring plan to address learning loss and sat on the ESSR committee to ensure that Math was well represented in the post-pandemic plan.

Whenever I walk by his class students are highly engaged and he is actively teaching in enthusiastic ways. He uses technology creatively to blend learning for students and stays up on how to best utilize technology in his curriculum while remaining personal in his teaching. He stays after school regularly to help students and is available for them whenever they need extra support.

Mark goes above and beyond the required duties and is a prime example of Rocket Pride. We congratulate Mark as our AC Reynolds teacher of the year. He is a great and committed teacher who fully deserves the recognition.
